Equipment such as water heating and purification systems, Air Exchangers and Air Purifiers should be serviced if you notice any change in the operation of the unit that seems unusual.
Humidifier pads should be replaced every 1-2 years, or when the pad becomes soft and spongy. Flow-through Bypass humidifiers should also be serviced if you notice any change in the operation of the unit that seems unusual.
Drum Style humidifiers are older systems and are very high maintenance. They should be cleaned and sterilized monthly and the sponge should be replaced yearly. We do not recommend the use of this style of humidifier as it may be hazardous to your health and your furnace if not properly maintained.
